We lead the way in legal advice on healthcare regulation. We have advised on major developments in this area, including the proposed National Health Insurance (NHI).
Our experience includes making submissions on draft healthcare legislation and regulations, representing numerous clients in proceedings before, and in disputes with, various healthcare regulators, and advising on the National Health Act, the Health Professions Act, the Medicines and Related Substances Act, the Nursing Act and the Medical Schemes Act.
We have acted for various pharmacists' associations in a successful Constitutional Court challenge to pharmacists' dispensing fees imposed in the Medicine Pricing Regulations, and for an association of medical practitioners in successfully challenging the National Health Reference Price List published by the Director General of Health.
