The Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) gives effect to the constitutional right of access to information (section 32(1) of the Constitution). It ensures access to records held by public and private bodies.
We advise clients on lodging requests for access to information under PAIA, as well as responding to such requests. We also assist clients with litigation in the event that information requested in terms of PAIA is withheld.
