Webber Wentzel is proud to announce that the excellence of its tax and corporate teams was recently recognised with prestigious awards, beating several of South Africa’s top legal firms.
Thanks to hard work by the firm’s tax team, it was named South African Tax Firm of the Year at the annual International Tax Review (ITR) EMEA Tax Awards. This is the third consecutive year that the firm has won at the ITR EMEA Tax Awards – last year it was named Africa Tax Firm of the Year.
The ITR EMEA Tax Awards, which have taken place annually since 2005, recognise remarkable achievements by international tax professionals from the EMEA region.
In a second coup, Webber Wentzel was crowned M&A Firm of the Year: South Africa at the second IFLR Africa Awards, which celebrate legal innovation in cross-border transactions.
Webber Wentzel also features prominently in the recently-released IFLR1000’s Financial and Corporate Guide - a guide to the world’s leading financial and corporate law firms, in which 36 of its practitioners are ranked. Webber Wentzel is the only South African law firm to achieve tier one rankings across the board, an achievement it has maintained for the last eight years, in:
